The Atlanta Food and Wine Festival returned to its in-person festivities after transitioning last year’s event virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All the events will follow guidelines to curb the spread of the pandemic by only allowing a certain number of individuals. The classes at the Loews Hotel in Midtown will be cancelled but will still include a weekend of fun-filled activities focusing on the culinary arts.
There will be chefs, bartenders, live music, and even a cocktail garden. Agency 21, the company who runs the festival, is also teaming up with Second Helpings Atlanta to donate food and gather contributions for the Children of Conservation based in Africa. The weekend event will also get visitors excited for a new edition later this fall called the Gather ‘round festival. It is set to take place from October 14th through October 17th and is incorporating southern food, inspired by Elizabeth Fleichter. That event will be a bit more limited on chefs and guests – topping out at around 500 in total.
