Karen Fultz-Robinson has gone from fighting for justice in the legal system to creating a fashion statement. Her idea for clothing and fashion design were spurred from her time spent in the outdoors where she realized that a lot of the clothing on the market wasn’t suitable for athletes with fitness trackers such as watches and other devices.
She realized that she could fuel her passion for athletic wear and create a brand catered to individuals who like the accessibility of checking their fitness, heart rate, or mileage tracker. From this idea, Fultz-Robinson has successfully run her ObservaMe clothing industry full-time.
The clothing line is popular for athletes, healthcare workers, and even cancer patients. Fultz-Robinson is deeply ingrained in the process of designing, manufacturing, and distributing her clothing line – all of which is made locally in the United States. Her hope is to provide people with quality clothing and materials that can be reused over and over again without risk of breakdown. While Fultz-Robinson was initially attending conventions to promote her clothing line, she has since transitioned to virtual support from the COVID-19 pandemic and has been successful in marketing her local business since 2016.
