Kanye West, “Donda” Album Listening Party that was held in Atlanta on July 22, 2021

Kanye West is here and ready to be heard. The 44-year-old, multi-Grammy winning actor roped
in fans once again through a listening party for his upcoming new album “Donda.” The album,
an obvious tribute to his mother, immediately engaged listeners with the first sounds echoing
off a different chord than fans are normally used to.

Being in the sold-out stadium as a viewer, you could feel the emotion and camaraderie through
his sentimental lyrics, grief, and closeness. Kanye never falls short of surprising fans – with
featured appearances from Lil Baby, Sha-Carri Richardson and Jay Z, West made sure that fans
were on the edge of their seats throughout the entire show.

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium erupted from the moment that Kanye strode out – almost 2 hours
late – in a matching red jump suit and masked face. However, this Kanye West was less focused
on engaging with the crowd (in fact, he never actually said anything to the audience) and more
focused on delivering his grief-filled, longing album. While some may have been disappointed
by the long-awaited performance of this anticipated album, others might draw greater
understanding and empathy towards the captivating and mysterious artist.
