Halloween Screening: T.I.'s Da Partments

Ghost, ghouls, and goblins.... oh my! Instead of tricks this Halloween, rapper, actor, entrepreneur, and community activist T.I. decided to treat his fans to an early screening of his new film, "Da Partments."

Narrated and written by T.I., Da Partments, is a modern day comedy that is inspired by real-life events. The film explores the fine line between the everyday struggles of the underprivileged and the enchantment hidden within an apartment complex. Within this coming of age tale, lies social economic disparities, African American history, and true Atlanta swag.

The concept for "Da Apartments" is something that the Atlanta rapper says that he has been working on for over a decade.

"I've had this show concept in development since I wrote this song in '09-'10... ain't never no biting off another person's ideas... revealed to and ain't neva no hatin when someone adds to ideas of mine," shared via Instagram clearing up rumors that the idea had been stolen from fellow comedians Desi Banks and Parlae.

The film is not without gut busting fun as comedy lovers can expect features from Lil Duval (known for roles in Meet the Blacks and The House Next Door: Meet The Blacks 2) and D.C. Young Fly (famous for Almost Christmas), this film is set to deliver endless entertainment and laughs. The film also features T.I.'s 17-year-old son, King, whose teaser clip as a diligent water boy has piqued fans' curiosity about what the film has in store.
