Gunna – the Grammy-nominated and renowned rapper – is making a different kind of splash in the community. He has teamed up with Goodr, a non-profit organization located in Atlanta, to provide free groceries and clothing to the middle school where he once attended. Ronald McNair Middle School was in for a shock when they found out that Gunna and Goodr would be contributing free clothing, shoes, toiletries, and more to the students.
Additionally, there will be free groceries that families can order online and allows students to pick up after school. These efforts are not going unnoticed as the mayor of South Fulton has officially named September 16th as Gunna Day. The rapper acknowledges that he is in a position to provide necessities to underserved communities who can’t afford basic needs.
This new store is expected to assist up to 900 students at the middle school and should help curb food insecurity within the local city. Gunna is projected to continue donations and other programs in Atlanta with a goal to give back to the community he was raised in. The community members and mayor are grateful for Gunna’s decisive action to provide resources to the underserved within Atlanta.
