ATL Plus Magazine had the incredible opportunity to provide media coverage for the highly anticipated 2023 Black Media Honors™️. Presented by Atlanta-based media company Empower Media Group (EMG), these annual awards recognize and honor the achievements of icons in broadcasting, public relations, media, mass communication, journalism, entertainment, and education who have made significant contributions to the industry. With a star-studded lineup of honorees and a commitment to celebrating excellence, the 2023 Black Media Honors™️ was such a memorable event.

A Night to Remember

The official awards was April 23, 2023, and was hosted by the talented actress Brely Evans and renowned radio personality and motivational speaker Willie Moore Jr. The Venue was @ WestCobb in Austell, GA, for this spectacular celebration of black excellence. This weekend's festivities culminated in the grand Black Media Honors awards gala, where outstanding individuals were recognized for their remarkable contributions.

Smith (ESPN), Rushion McDonald, Jacque Reid, Alfred Edmond Jr. (Black Enterprise), Detavio Samuels (CEO Revolt Media & TV), Dr. Kevin James (President of Morris-Brown College), Cynthia Horner (Publisher of Right On Magazine), Dr. Rashad Richey (Political Analyst for CBS46, MSNBC, PeachtreeTV, V-103, Rolling Out), Dayvsnn (Levelle Davison) of NBC Season 14 The Voice, and Special Music Guest Mali Music, among others.
