A Foundation of FVNDAMENTALS

Bovtiqve Fashion Week bodied out sleekness and finesse as The FVNDAMENTALS of fashion was a whole vibe in exhibiting volume II of their swimwear edition. Held at the Moxy Marriott in Midtown Atlanta, on May 14, BVFW’s theme this year was “The Poolside Fashion Experience 20K Feet in the Sky.” Models of all shades of color, shapes, sizes, and gender paraded the poolside in the beautiful swim and resort wear fashion.  

Hosted by Angelo Diaz @CubaTheGawd, actor of TV One’s top-rated show; “ATL Homicide,” and producer of the single, “Bottles in Boca,” the evening was accompanied by hype music, cocktails, exclusivity, beauty, and radiance.

event included celebrity guests, highly revered modeling agencies, and public figures as spectators.  The event was synergized with the support and partnerships of Moxy by Marriott Midtown, Georgia Hollywood Review, Paul Mitchell Atlanta, Pretty Fly Society, Goorin Bros, and Urban Gorillas.  The experience was an all-time high!  

Paradoxical swim and resort wear wooed the audience with fashion statements that would have normally been seen as out of the ordinary and unfit for poolside fashion.  Fashions included swimwear with feathers, wings, hexagonal patterns, and a plethora of symmetry- all wrapped in one. Featured swimwear designers included @SwiminMel, @Hedge.Eleven, @LustCollection_, @PeachesAndStrings, @ImpressLavish, and @iamsaveyon. 

WHAT IS BOVTIQVE FASHION WEEK?

Bovtiqve Fashion Week created by Pretty Fly Society; based in Atlanta, Ga., was designed “to establish a foundation of fashion and business trade, increase the economic and creative development in the areas of fashion design, clothing, merchandising, event production and modeling.” Goorin Bros along with Paul Mitchell Schools were included in the startup.  BVFW strategy includes focusing on major cities as a platform to embroider eloquent and compelling impressions in the fashion industry.  BVFW is held twice a year during the months of February and September. BVFW’s presence within each city aims to highlight each city’s ability to capitalize on one of the most thriving and profitable industries: fashion.   

Originating in February of 2020, BVFW’s platform has segued to models receiving contracts, brand recognition, national campaign work, virtual signage, and much more.  BVFW’s goal to offer exclusive studio membership bundles for models and photographers is quintessential to the success and vitality of the business.  

With this in mind, BVFW aims to create an environment of judgment-free, safety-first, and free parking for the city of Atlanta.
