Bae's Best Eats: The Breakfast Bar Restaurant

One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is to go out and enjoy a good brunch. I decided to try out the newly opened Breakfast Bar Restaurant located just a short drive outside of the city in Duluth.

The restaurant officially opened for business on July 29, and I couldn't wait to get in and try out some of the delicious eats that I had been seeing posted all over social media.

The website suggests reservations, however, there is first come, first serve seating available at the bar. I decided to take a chance and take seating at the bar and enjoyed this service as I could watch the bartenders serve up some of the best cocktails I've ever seen!

I started out with housemade Pineapple Lemonade and it was so refreshing. There were so many good cocktails available on the menu from the Heart Throb which features rum, vodka, a splash of strawberry puree, and citrus on down to the Yummy Gummy which is served in a cute little teddy bear glass! For those who love mimosas, I suggest the Champagne flight which offers a vast array of flavorful juices to pair with your favorite champagne.

Now on to the food! There were so many great things on the menu, I didn't know where to start. I decided to start with the strawberry shortcake waffle popsicles because I love the idea of being able to enjoy my desert before my meal! The dish is served with 3 belgian waffles in the shape of a popsicle, covered with sliced strawberries, shortcake crumbles, and a powdered sugar glaze. Talk about delectable! The waffles were moist and the flavor was not like your typical belgian waffle. It was almost like having a slice of strawberry shortcake. It brought back every memory I had as a kid eating those strawberry shortcake popsicles!

The sizzing steak skillet really stood out on the menu as a signature item. The dish is served smoking hot in a cast iron skillet with grilled steak, scrambled eggs, and potatoes. When I say the steak melts in your mouth! It is served well done but isn't overcooked. The steak was covered to perfection, and everything about this dish will leave you craving for more.

Last but certainly not least, I decided to try out the catfish and grits; and it did not disappoint. The creamy bed of grits accompanied by the fried fillet of catfish was a a great way to end my brunch.

The atmosphere is very sheek and posh with more than enough room for seating dining couples on to groups. Reservations can be placed on the website and is highly suggested.

I love the fact that there are no long wait lines for this dining experience. If you are like me, I just like to walk in and get right to the food!

The service is amazing and our waitress/bartender was great at addressing our needs in a timely manner.

I give the Breakfast Bar Restaurant 10/10 on food, quality, and service!
