Full Job Description:
The Social Media Intern will work with the Communications and Multimedia Specialist to design eye-catching graphics and photos for ATL+ Magazine social media campaigns. The Social Media Intern will increase their skills and knowledge by working hands-on with our Specialist while receiving feedback throughout.

Accountability:
The ATL+ Magazine Social Media Intern is a part-time position and is under the administrative direction of the Communications and Multimedia Specialist.

About Us:
ATL+ Magazine is your must-read magazine for all the latest news and pop culture. Since August 2020, we’ve provided readers a chance to read about topics that interest them the most. From tourism to politics, our articles were written by a talented team of writers to help you stay in the loop about the latest trends and news about Atlanta. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education and Credentials:
Current college junior or senior studying Communication & Media Studies, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field. Other: Must meet the requirements of background checks. Also, Non-academic interns may apply, and they will work on an unpaid basis for practical experience in the field of media and entertainment for a job reference.

Additional Qualifications:
Reliable, honest, and trustworthy
Detail-oriented, task manager
Ability to handle confidential information
Passionate & knowledgeable about social media
Experience using Canva and Buffer
A critical eye for layout design
Strong copywriting skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Willingness to learn and ask questions.

Responsibilities:
Stay current on all social media trends
Utilize multiple platforms to support Mommies In Need’s social media campaigns by using working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Tik-Tok (Specifically, business suites)
Work within the Canva platform to create and edit content as required
Create social media posts with informative catchy copy and schedule ahead of time through Buffer Ability to film and edit video content High aesthetic bar to consistently delight our users and elevate our positioning as directed
Committed to interning for at least 3 months (part-time)

Service:
We are closed for the holidays listed in the employee handbook. Location and schedule will be provided to you by your direct supervisor.
