Accountability:
The ATL+ Magazine Journalism Internship is a part-time position and is under the administrative direction of the Content Director
Brief Job Expectations:
ATL+ Magazine Marketing, Advertising and Sales internship is designed to provide interns the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained through their academic experience in a real-world corporate setting. Over the course of the program, the interns will become fully immersed in the daily operations of their department and will be directly involved with tasks and projects that contribute to ATL+ Magazine’s growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education and Credentials:
Current college junior or senior studying Communication & Media Studies, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
Other:
Must meet the requirements of background checks.
Additional Qualifications:
Reliable, honest, and trustworthy
Detail-oriented, task manager
Ability to handle confidential information
Passionate & knowledgeable about social media
Experience using Canva and Buffer
A critical eye for layout design
Strong copywriting skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Willingness to learn and ask questions
Full Job Description:
Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients. Conducting research on potential clients' products or services and determining the geographic location of most of their target customers. Setting up meetings with potential clients to present advertising proposals and address their concerns. Assisting the marketing team in the preparation of media kits and promotional plans. Attending sales meetings, trade shows, and training workshops as required. Persuading clients to purchase company advertising products and services by communicating the benefits of various types of advertising. Providing recommendations on suitable formats, advertising mediums, and font sizes. Preparing sample advertisements for clients. Assisting the sales team with developing advertising story boards and coordinate with other teams in the development and management of the advertising and marketing strategies.
Personal Requirements:
Computer literate in a Mac environment
Strong accuracy and proofreading abilities
Ability to work with already established visual identity and brand standards
Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing
Ability to maintain discretion and protect confidential information
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Willing to learn and grow
